Rock The Republic is a unique and dynamic entertainment company that specializes in creating unforgettable experiences, by organizing events that feature the best bands, spoken word poets, and artists from across “The Republic” of Texas.

RocktheRepublic.com Presents: Blacklisted Individuals, Foe Destroyer, The Black and Blues, The Heart is a Lonely Hunter and Elec at Momo’s

Snyp and Da’Shade Moonbeam are on a quest to bring quality back to Hip Hop music. With their rhyming forces combined, they are Blacklisted Individuals. Born and bred in Austin, Texas, the duo creates “Working Class Muzik;” music reflecting the unpopular truth about life and the struggles of the common class. They paint the triumphs and tragedies of our everyday lives through poetic, conscious lyrics and infuse artistry in every performance. Their head-bobbin’ catchy beats and creative content were inspired by artists like UGK, Goodie Mob, Outkast, and The Geto Boys.

Blacklisted Individuals have opened for artists such as Snoop Dogg, The Game, Mike Jones, MC Ren of NWA, Mystik Journeymen, Gang Starr and the Ying Yang Twins to name a few. They placed in the finals for several hip hop competitions hosted by The Source Magazine, Famecast.com, Ourstage.com, and most recently, Battle of the Bands.

Foe Destroyer is the reincarnation of acclaimed Denton rock band Oso Closo. Having mutually split with lead singer Adrian Hulet, the other four members have eagerly risen to the occasion with brand new music and a decidedly more urgent, more dynamic sound. With three lead vocalists and an all-in approach to song writing Foe Destroyer has the tightness of a band that’s been together for five years plus the joyful creativity of a fresh start.

“Straight out of Denton, Texas, these guys are blowing away crowds left and right. Formerly known as the band, Oso Closo, Foe Destroyer’s a blend of in-your-face alternative sound and complicated musicality. I’ll never forget the way I was first introduced to these guys from outside of one of their concerts when one of their fans ran up to me after I asked what kind of music they play and screamed, “It’s rock the way rock’s supposed to be.” – Ropeadope.com

Formed in April 2010 by vocalist Keite Young and guitarist Mark Lettieri, the Black & Blues’ sound could best described as an amalgamation of rock, electro-funk and soul, straddling the line between classic and 21st century sonic idioms, with one foot firmly planted in the blues. It’s an unrelenting sound that will leave listeners feeling like their name suggests.
